Thornburgh Companies started as a mechanical insulation contractor in 1987. As the number of our customers and their demands for more services increased, we expanded into the asbestos and lead abatement fields as well as the painting industry.
In an effort to stay ahead of increasing industry needs, we saw a demand for a company that could understand, specify and provide fire stopping solutions not only in high-rise buildings, but anywhere that life safety and building preservation could be at risk. So, we set out to fill that need.
Fire Stop Technologies is and has been the standard for that in the St. Louis area since 1994 for both fire stopping and fire proofing. The newest member to our family of companies is Precision Finishes. Precision was started in 2008 to facilitate a more "turn key" operation to our clients by providing them with drywall finishing services and wall covering / painting in order to take the project to completion.

 Thornburgh Insulation is a full service mechanical insulation contractor.
We perform mechanical insulation installations that range from heavy industrial, power and utility to light commercial installations. Plant or unit outage? Turnkey? No Problem!
We have a top of the line insulation and sheet metal fabrication shop.

Thornburgh Abatement |
 Thornburgh Abatement came about because of high demand from our customers who wanted a company that can provide both abatement and re-insulation services, allowing them one stop shopping for all of their insulation contracting needs.
Thornburgh Abatement is fully capable of caring for your abatement needs whether they are removing old asbestos insulation from a cat-cracker unit to a little lead paint from a handrail. Whatever is needed, all work is performed to the strictest of guidelines in addition to all federal and state regulations. |

Fire Stop Technologies |
 Specializing in the installation of Fire Stop Systems and the application of Fire Resistive Spray Materials.
We are a sole source specialty fire stop contractor for the installation of fire stop systems required for: penetrations of all types, various forms of construction joints, curtain wall assemblies, fire blanket insulation wrap, etc.. Fire Stop Technologies is also capable of applying fire resistive spray materials on structural steel and decks, as well as any intumescent paint applications desired. |

Precision Finishes |
 Precision Finishes is a drywall finishing, painting and wall covering contractor. In the commercial industry, as General Contractor’s, experience back charges between painting and drywall contractors at the end of projects on a daily basis. Precision Finishes was formed to alleviate this problem by providing both services together.
Need shop-applied coatings? Precision Finishes can handle this as well. With our 30,000 square foot blast and paint shop, we can blast and apply all high performance coatings including intumescent paint for any size steel. |
